Brow Lift

Over the years, the tail of the eyebrow can droop slightly. This gives a heavy or tired look, and many people unconsciously raise their eyebrows, causing horizontal forehead wrinkles. An eyebrow lift subtly restores the eyebrows to their natural position, often resulting in a fresher, more open look. Sometimes this procedure is combined with an upper eyelid correction for the most beautiful overall appearance.

How does the procedure work?

During the consultation, it will be examined which technique suits you best. There are several possibilities:

  • a transpalpebral lift in which, simultaneously with an upper eyelid correction, especially the outer eyebrow tail is slightly lifted (limited lift, no extra small scar);
  • a temporal/lateral lift via a small incision in the hairy scalp above the ear, with which the eyebrow tail is placed higher;
  • a direct eyebrow lift, in which skin is removed just above the eyebrow (powerful lift, but with a scar on the upper edge).

The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, on an outpatient basis. Depending on your situation, general anesthesia can also be chosen. Scars are placed in such a way that they disappear as much as possible into natural lines or the hairline. In the case of limited eyebrow ptosis, a non-surgical, subtle lift with muscle relaxants (botulinum toxin) may also suffice, especially to raise the outer eyebrow slightly.

Is this treatment suitable for you?

This treatment is intended if drooping eyebrows affect your appearance (stricter, more tired) or if you notice that you often raise your forehead to open your gaze. Also, if you are bothered by this or it affects your self-confidence, an eyebrow lift can offer a solution.
