Thigh Lift

A thigh lift (thigh brachioplasty) corrects excess skin and/or fat on the inner thighs to refine their contour. Depending on your situation, options include liposuction alone, liposuction combined with a thigh lift, or a classic/extended thigh lift. With a classic thigh lift, the scar is located in the groin crease; with a more extensive correction, there is an additional scar along the inner thigh.

How does the procedure work?

During the consultation, we examine which tissue predominates and which technique is appropriate. When excess fat is the main concern and skin elasticity is sufficient, liposuction may suffice. When excess skin is present, a thigh lift is recommended, often combined with liposuction for a smooth transition. The scar is typically located in the groin crease; in cases of pronounced skin laxity, an additional vertical incision on the inner thigh may be necessary. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Approximate timing and admission vary: about 2 hours of surgery time and usually day surgery to 1-2 nights hospitalization in our luxury suites. Sutures are often dissolvable and covered with skin glue, allowing you to shower quickly.

Is this treatment suitable for you?

A thigh lift is intended for thigh laxity due to aging or (significant) weight loss. Complaints are often both functional and aesthetic: discomfort during sports or walking, chafing/irritation, or feeling insecure in (short) clothing. In these cases, a thigh lift can restore the shape and firmness of the upper legs.
