Nipple Correction

A nipple correction is a minor surgical procedure that corrects inverted, asymmetrical, or (overly) large/protruding nipples. The areola can also be reduced if desired. The goal is to achieve a natural, self-evident result that better suits your body. Both women and men may be eligible for this procedure.

How does the procedure work?

The correction is typically performed under local anesthesia and as a day surgery. Depending on the issue, excess tissue is reduced (for long/protruding nipples), the areola is reduced, or an inverted nipple is surgically released. After correcting an inverted nipple, a protective dressing is applied to support the new position.

Is this treatment suitable for you?

This procedure is suitable for anyone experiencing physical discomfort or insecurity due to the shape, position, or size of their nipples—e.g., inverted nipples, (overly) long or protruding nipples (hereditary or after breastfeeding), or noticeable asymmetry. Those who have distractingly large areolas can also have them adjusted.
